Underground Water Leak – Westgrove Drive

It appears there is an underground water leak in the street near 5064 Westgrove Drive. The issue has been identified in the public right-of-way. Initial testing by the Asscoaition suggests that is not related to any individual residence or Association-owned plumbing or irrigation.

The leak was reported to Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) on December 31, 2025 under Claim #25-17715. At this time, the matter is under DWU’s jurisdiction, and any investigation or repair work will be scheduled and performed by the City. Historically, they have been slow to respond to small leaks like this and residents are encouraged to call to report or follow-up on this matter.

Residents may notice changes in surface conditions in the area before DWU evaluates the situation. If you observe worsening conditions—such as rapidly flowing water, significant pooling, or roadway deterioration—you are encouraged to report it directly to Dallas Water Utilities and notify the Association so the information can be relayed as needed. If repairs are required, heavy construction activity may occur near 5064.

  1. The following information is for the records. On March 25, 2026 I contacted 311 to inquire about our claim with the Dallas Water Utilities. I spoke with Melissa who informed me that a person from the Water Department was on property on December 30, 2025 and could not find the leak, thus closing the work order, Claim # 25-17715. A new work order, Claim # 26-13168, has been established and someone should be here to view the water leak, possibly today. I am the contact person.

Thanks for getting involved. In the past, when more people involved the city acts. The site of the leak has been repainted with a green arrow and marked with a traffic cone.

    2. DWU confirmed the leaks as a water main leak (as identified by LoBT baord). I filled a Code compliance safety complaint to hopefully expedite matters (26-00126357).

  2. We have just learned that the water company is repairing the water main today and will be cutting the water off for several hours. The units affected will be south of 5058 Westgrove.
