Pedestrian Gate and Pool Area Access Codes Changing Next Week

The Lakes of Bent Tree Condominium Association will be implementing new access codes for pedestrian gates and the pool area beginning next week (April 278, 2026), following a series of privacy and sanitation concerns affecting the community.

Please do not share these codes with individuals you do not know, including contractors or delivery personnel.

Bathroom Misuse Prompts Action

The Association reports ongoing issues with the pool restroom facilities. Despite a 2021 remodel and the addition of weekly professional cleaning service, the restroom is frequently left in unacceptable condition, including soiled toilets and muddy floors.

Access codes to the restroom have been shared beyond residents, resulting in contractors and non-residents regularly using the facilities.

We all want the restroom to remain clean, sanitary, and pleasant for residents.

Suspicious Persons with Pedestrian Code

The pedestrian gate codes have been compromised. Multiple reports indicate that non-residents have gained access to the community.

Recent incidents include:

• Suspicious individuals entering through the Westgrove pedestrian gates, walking the length of the property, and exiting at Knoll Trail
• Car break-ins at the office building across Knoll Trail, with suspects reportedly entering the community using access codes
• Unauthorized individuals observed in the pool and tennis court areas

This pattern suggests that shared access codes may be contributing to unauthorized entry.

Owner Cooperation Requested

The Association is asking all residents to take an active role in protecting the community:

• Do not share access codes with non-residents or contractors
• Report suspicious activity promptly
• Use proper channels for granting access when needed (such as kiosk call access)
